Tallahassee, FL, April 20, 2021—AAF Florida Leaders: As you know the Florida Legislature has been considering very harmful privacy legislation. Tomorrow, AAF and a number of our association partners will be sending the attached letter to legislative leaders pointing out some of the worst provisions in the bills. We will urge them not to pass the measures in the current session. We have offered to work with them to craft legislation to be considered in a future session that will protect privacy without unduly harming Florida business’s ability to responsibly use data to communicate with consumers.
I would like to invite your ad club to join us in signing the letter. We are planning on submitting the letter tomorrow, so please let me know ASAP and send your club logo if you would like to be included.
