One of the most influential executives in the industry, Ian Schafer has been at the forefront of advertising since 1997. Ad-marketing publications have recognized his accomplishments with Advertising Age naming him a Media Maven in 2007; Adweek including him on its Young Ones list in 2009; and the Shorty Awards citing him as “Best CEO with a Social Media Presence.”

A trailblazer who saw the advertising potential of digital media, Ian founded Deep Focus in 2002. Today, the award-winning global agency is lauded for its expertise and excellence in digital creative execution and media strategy, innovative agency operational models and consumer insights that drive engaging, value-driven experiences.

Prior to founding Deep Focus, Ian was Vice President of New Media at Disney’s Miramax Films where he oversaw the company’s digital marketing.

In 2012, he anonymously adopted the alter ego of @invisibleobamaduring the GOP National Convention (thanks to Clint Eastwood’s empty-chair stunt) and launched a legendary internet meme. He is also the co-founder of Hungry Fan™, the only app dedicated to listing the food menus from sports stadiums and arenas throughout the U.S.
