Kerry Steib

Director of Cultural Impact, Spotify

As the Director of Cultural Impact, Kerry Steib leads the team that builds empathy and equity through culture. She develops programs that champion inclusive voices, connect artists and fans, and break down barriers to empower everyone to be a creator.

At Spotify, she works across the organization to harness the resources of Spotify’s platform and people to make change. She’s developed Black History is Happening Now and the Bootcamp to amplify and support creators of color, I’m With the Banned (Emmy nominee, Cannes Lions Silver, ONE Show Golden Pencil), to support the free exchange of ideas and shift perception of immigrants and refugees through artist stories, Clarify (Emmy nominee) to encourage Spotify’s audience to vote, Here to Stay (Halo Award), where donated materials from Spotify’s SXSW experience were used to build a recording studio for Kealing Middle School and (Webby Award) featuring Spotify’s partnership with the Starkey Hearing Foundation.

Kerry’s previous experience spans product marketing, sales development, and business marketing at Spotify, AOL and Google. She believes the best solutions are ones created together and that there’s no such thing as music that’s a guilty pleasure. She was named to Refinery29’s “Rising Female Tech Stars” and was a MAKER@Spotify awardee.
