Brandon Cooke

Global Chief Communications Officer, FCB

Brandon Cooke joined FCB in 2017 as Global Chief Communications Officer with a mission to help define and drive the agency’s positioning, further fuel the network’s creative momentum and strengthen the FCB brand reputation around the world. With a unique background in marketing, communications and new business from his previous role as global CMO at mcgarrybowen, Brandon brings a proven results-driven approach to his new role that will help synergize PR, marketing and new business efforts.

Prior to FCB, Brandon spent seven years at mcgarrybowen where he quickly rose through the ranks to become one of the Dentsu-owned creative network’s top executives, going from the agency’s first dedicated business development director and later becoming its first global chief marketing officer. While there Cooke helped build the agency’s new business machine and also expanded his department to include marketing, PR and communications. Along with the agency’s rapid international expansion, Cooke’s purview grew to include global duties, helping the growing network further expand and land new clients such as Intel, Clorox, United Airlines, Procter & Gamble and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Over his tenure, the agency earned numerous honors, including three “Agency of the Year” awards from both Advertising Age and Adweek.

Before mcgarrybowen, Cooke spent two years at creative boutique Gotham, where he helped rebuild the IPG shop’s new business department, landed clients like Best Western, Hitachi, and Waterford/Wedgwood, and helped the agency become Ad Age's 2010 Agency A-List #1 “Agency to Watch.”

Brandon began his career at Grey Group in account management, working with several of their largest clients. Once Brandon got his first taste of a new business pitch, however, he was hooked, and he eventually helped run Grey's domestic and global business development operations. An interesting path considering his first exposure to the advertising industry was as a creative intern at Y&R New York.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Media & Journalism School, Brandon is a die-hard Tarheel fan that always makes time for basketball and barbeque. When he's not at the office or waiting in an airport, he enjoys exploring new places, foods and cultures with close family and friends.
