Erica Blake is a creator who is passionate about ensuring people with marginalized identities see themselves in all spaces. She expresses the importance of equity through different forms of art and projects. She is a photographer who uses images as a form of storytelling and resistance. She is also the founder of Black at PWI which focuses on interviewing Black students, staff and faculty at Predominately White Institutions (PWIs) to get raw feedback regarding their experiences at Colleges and Universities. She is the Director of Events for BeGreatDC which services the Washington, DC area to provide resources and build community within the Wards. Before AAF, Erica worked at Georgetown University as a Community Director and was involved in many committees around DEI and helped to pass Juneteenth as a recognized holiday for the university. 

Erica is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc by way of the Delta Zeta chapter at Kean University in New Jersey where she received her BA in Psychology with a minor in English. She went on to receive her M. Ed in School Counseling from Bowie State University which led to her interest in Higher Education. Community service has always been one of the main pillars of her life and she enjoys helping others in whatever capacity she can. When Erica is not working, she is either reading, playing video games, or relaxing with loved ones.
