Vice President, Mosaic Center & Education Services, American Advertising Federation
Ayanna Jackson joined the AAF in February 2016 as the Assistant Vice President of the AAF's Mosaic Center and Education Services. Jackson is responsible for overseeing the AAF’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Education initiatives, which include the Most Promising Multicultural Students program, Mosaic Awards, HBCU’s for Advertising, the National Student Advertising Competition, AdCamp, Campus to Corporate internship program and many of the organization’s Thought Leadership initiatives. She was promoted to Vice President of the AAF's Mosaic Center and Education Services in 2018.
Jackson’s career has been steeped in Advertising Sales and Marketing at the world’s leading publications. During her time at The Washington Post, she worked in both Advertising and Marketing. She left the nation’s capital to lend her talents to The New York Times Advertising department, supporting various ad verticals. Jackson was promoted to Department Store Account Manager, overseeing several of the nation’s top consumer brands. She received The New York Times “President’s Circle Award” for excellence in sales achievement across all print, digital and mobile advertising platforms. Before relocating back to the Washington, DC area, she was Account Manager for Cox Media Group in Atlanta. However, it’s the work that she does at the AAF that she’s most proud of. Being able to help others who may not otherwise have opportunities afforded their peers is her mission, both professionally and personally.
Jackson received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette and a Certificate in Public Relations from New York University.
