American Advertising Federation Hosts Mosaic Career Fair at USA TODAY to Connect Qualified Minority Candidates With Top Corporations


WASHINGTON, D.C.—The American Advertising Federation (AAF) is connecting nearly 200 talented student advertising, marketing and communications candidates with eager recruiting companies by hosting a Mosaic Career Fairat Gannett and USA TODAY headquarters in McLean, Va., on March, 9, 2006. Sponsored by Gannett and USA TODAY, this all-day recruiting event furthers the AAF's mission to provide companies with direct access to minority talent. The program will also focus on professional development for university students who anticipate entering the competitive field of advertising, marketing and communications.

"USA TODAY is excited to provide a showcase for these exceptional and eager candidates," said Jacki Kelley, senior vice president of advertising sales, USA TODAY.

AAF's Mosaic Career Fairs connect talented minority advertising, marketing and communications students with industry professionals who are seeking entry-level candidates. Students and corporate recruiters are brought together for one day to discuss potential career opportunities. Students will interact with many of the ad industry's foremost companies, including Gannett Co., Inc.; USA TODAY; America Online, Inc.; Army Times Publishing Co.; Arnold Worldwide; August, Lang & Husak, Inc.; Campbell-Ewald; Clipper Magazine; Eisner Communications; Landmark Community Newspapers, Inc.; McCann Erickson; Minority Wealth Magazine; TMP Worldwide; Universal McCann and Young & Rubicam Brands. The Advertising Club of Metropolitan Washington will also be represented at the Recruiters Expo to provide students with membership information.

A main mission of the AAF is to help train students to be valuable advertising professionals, with the skills and competencies essential to corporate success. Accordingly, the students will participate in several professional development seminars designed to increase their knowledge about résumé writing, interviewing skills and networking.
