In honor of Sidney Bernstein who was president, publisher and columnist for Advertising Age, this award recognizes the most effective communications programs among AAF clubs and federations. The sixth annual Sid Bernstein Communications Awards, sponsored by Crain Communications, furnishes grants to all first-place winners in this category.
Cultural Diversity
Awards for cultural diversity are given to the clubs and federations whose programs increase the minority representation in an individual advertising community to more closely mirror the mix of minorities in the market.

To honor the chairman and founder of Crain Communications, Inc., the G.D. Crain Jr. this award was designed to encourage and stimulate high professional standards for public service advertising by AAF clubs and federations. The G.D. Crain Foundation provides a grant to each first-place winner in the public service category, and to the winners of the Ad 2 Public Service Competition.

Jim Fish, an AAF founder and former marketing head of General Mills, was a proponent of advertising clubs and federations playing an active role in public service advertising. As a fitting tribute to Jim Fish, a grant is awarded to all first-place winning entries in this category.
