With over 210 local ad clubs and federations AAF addresses the industry's key issues at the grassroots level. AAF provides numerous programs to guide its 6,000 college students through advertising curriculum and job placement. Through AAF's many scholarships, career guides, internship directory and mentoring opportunities, we are able to arm students with the skills to work effectively in the advertising industry. For example, AAF's National Student Advertising Competition, also known as the College World Series of Advertising, is the premier college advertising competition. It provides more than 3,000 college students with "real world" experience by requiring a strategic advertising/marketing/media campaign for a corporate sponsor.

Empowers the Advertising Industry to Capitalize on America's Diverse Demographic Landscape
AAF is the industry leader in providing companies with the human and technical resources they need to succeed in the "new" multicultural America. Comprehensive services, programs and initiatives administered by The Mosaic Center on Multiculturalism, , are bringing awareness to the issue of diversity in the advertising industry.
Most Promising Minority Students Program creates hiring opportunities for many talented minority undergraduates. In fact, 70 percent of the 125 finalists from the classes of 1997, 1998 and 1999 are working in the advertising industry. Sponsors of this event receive first interviewing rights of these talented students.

AAF members undertake hundreds of public-service projects every year to benefit charities in their local communities by providing marketing, advertising and public council.
