Director of Information Technology

 

Position Description

  • Provides database applications for programming, troubleshooting and security 

  • Maintains information technology systems including iMIS 2.0 and assists staff with hardware, software and web service issues; researching and implementing technological strategic solutions to optimize productivity and reduce cost

  • Work with AAF’s 200+ clubs to assist with adoption of AMS and provide training


Database Management and Information Technology 

  • Install and upgrade the database server and application tools

  • Modify the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application developers verbally

  • Enroll users and maintain system security

  • Ensure compliance with database vendor license agreement

  • Control and monitor user access to the database

  • Monitor and optimize the performance of the database

  • Edit and maintain iMIS 20 AMS internal dashboards and external web pages

  • Maintain relationship with IT support vendors to ensure prompt response and completion on IT projects

  • Generate various reports by querying iMIS 20/RiSE/SQL databases

  • Direct technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects

  • Complete projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center

  • Verify application results by conducting systems audits of technologies implemented

  • Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures

  • Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements, in conjunction with computer maintenance vendor

  • Develop and manage the Technology Committee

  • Identify new technology revenue streams


Website Management

  • Assist staff with the administration of webinars

  • Provide website analytics

  • Work with Vice President of Creative Services to update website content

Social Media

  • Work with Vice President of Creative Services to maintain AAF’s social media presence

  • Provide analytics on social media effectiveness

 

Other

  • Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action

  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices

  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

  • Collaborate with fellow staff members to execute projects and achieve the organization’s goals

  • Other duties as assigned
