Database & IT Manager

 

Summary

The Database & IT Manager requires strong administrative and membership database skills, the ability to work in a collaborative manner, and possess the ability to think creatively and strategically. This position is the database support for the organizations 400 chapters.

Maintains information technology systems and assists staff with computers, software and other IT issues; researching and implementing technological strategic solutions.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Database Management of iMIS CMS and the organization's internal Network

  • Maintain relationships with approximately 400 organizations, clubs and chapters for iMIS database training

  • Knowledgeable on Windows Server 2012R and Exchange 2013

  • Knowledgeable in Backup Exec 2014

  • Ensure compliance with database vendor license agreement

  • Control and monitor user access to the database

  • Back up and restoring computer systems

  • Edit and maintain iMIS database web pages

  • Generate various reports by querying database

  • Direct technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects

  • Complete projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center

  • Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements, in conjunction with computer maintenance vendor


Other Skills

  • Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action

  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices

  • Collaborate with fellow staff members to execute projects and achieve the organization’s goals
