AAF Announces 2016-2017 Board of Directors, Addition of New 2 Positions, 5 Corporate Members

The AAF elected David Messinger of CAA Marketing, Creative Artists Agency and Kim Kelleher of WIRED, Condé Nast as Chairman and Vice Chair, and filled two new roles with leaders from 72andSunny and Spotify.


ANAHEIM, CA, Jun. 7, 2016—The American Advertising Federation (AAF) today elected its new slate of Board of Directors, five new corporate members and two new positions on the Board in conjunction with its annual national conference, ADMERICA, in Anaheim, CA. The new leadership will serve during the 2016-2017 year, beginning July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017 and includes leaders from the most well-known and well-respected brands, media companies and agencies spearheading the advertising industry.

David Messinger, Co-Head, CAA Marketing, Creative Artists Agency is the new Chairman of the Federation; Kim Kelleher, Chief Revenue Officer + Publisher / WIRED, Condé Nast is the new Vice Chair of the Federation; Andy Narrai, Chief Marketing Officer, Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c. will continue as the National Treasurer; Geri Wang, President, ABC Sales, Disney/ABC Television Group will continue as in her role as Assistant Treasurer; Tiffany R. Warren, SVP, Chief Diversity Officer, Omnicom Group Inc./Founder & President, ADCOLOR was elected as the new Secretary, along with Daryl Evans, Senior Vice President, Mobile, Media and Advertising Strategy, MediaLink who will continue in his role as Assistant Secretary. During their tenure with the AAF, these leaders will shape the AAF’s daily business, expansion efforts and innovation.

The Membership elected John Boiler, Founder & CEO, 72andSunny and Jeff Levick, Chief Revenue Officer, Spotify, to its two new positions, Digital Vice Chair and Entertainment/Music Industry Chair, respectively.

Newly added to the AAF Board of Directors for the 2016-2017 term is Brynn Bardacke, Vice President, Global Sparkling and Marketing Operations at the Coca-Cola Company; Robert Horler, CEO at Dentsu Aegis Network, USA; Peter McGuinness, Chief Marketing and Brand Officer at Chobani; and Jorn Socquet, Vice President Marketing USA at Anheuser-Busch.

The AAF is also pleased to announce the addition of five new corporate members: Anheuser-Busch, co/star, Dentsu Aegis Network, USA, Engine Group and Mirror Digital.

The AAF’s Board of Directors guides and oversees the Federation’s signature events and initiatives, including the Advertising Hall of Fame, Advertising Hall of Achievement, Mosaic Center for Multiculturalism, National Student Advertising Competition, ADMERICA and the Institute for Advertising Ethics—all serving the Federation’s 40,000 professional members nationwide, nearly 5,000 student members and more than 100 corporate members spanning media, clients and agencies.
