"Why I Recruit at AAF’s Most Promising Multicultural Students Program and Why You Should Too!"

Leo Burnett has been a proud sponsor of the Most Promising Multicultural Students program (MPMS) since its inception, where we have hired both full time employees and summer interns.  We enjoy sharing with them the creative magic and collaboration this business has to offer.

This group of exceptional students all have one thing in common—a strong desire to be great and make an impact in this industry.   Their talent and individuality is unmatched.  These young professionals have the creativity and desire to change the world. Each of them risk takers, all unique in their style and all hungry for the industry.  

In 2007, Publicis Groupe leaders met to discuss ways in which we could join together to make significant improvements to our diversity efforts. With so many of us have been involved with the MPMS program, we agreed this program was a great place to start. The objective was simple…to enrich the experience of the Most Promising students. We crafted immersions that would deepen the student’s NYC cultural experience, as well as allow us time to get to know the MPMS class on a personal, as well as professional level.  

A couple of our shining examples…
  
I met Keith (class of 2009) and was immediately intrigued by his “gaming” mentality and experience.  He wasn’t at all familiar with advertising, but I could already see how well his talents could be utilized creatively in production. Keith has grown into an amazingly talented leader.

When I met Abu (class of 2014) I was immediately drawn to his energy and positive vibe.  Anyone who knows him knows that he can nail a first impression.  While we did not hire him immediately, I never forgot about him.  We thankfully reconnected soon after he began his career and were able to bring him on board.

The MPMS program is an anchor in our diversity programming.  We look forward to the discovery of an endless amount of fresh, innovative, and untapped talent.
